With the gradual lifting of Covid-19 restrictions, this could be the right time to start planning your next golf trip.

Many golfers have a bucket list of golf destinations you would love to explore. But in most cases, they miss out on the most attractive and enjoyable ones.

Destinations like Pebble Beach and St. Andrews could be on top of everyone’s list. But wouldn’t it be nice to explore a few golf destinations you haven’t explored before?

Well, that’s why we are here. The following are the favorite golf vacation destinations for new and veteran golfers who just love to swing their golf club to clear their mind.

Bermuda houses one of the most exquisite golf courses for both experienced and new players. It’s an island located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, with Port Royal becoming one of the most exciting places to visit there. Its host of the PGA Tour event last year earned raving reviews.

Apart from Port Royal, the new Five Forts Golf Course is another place to be if you are a golfer. And if you’re looking for a hilly environment, the Robert Trend Jones is another place to go.

Bandon Dunes

Bandon Dunes is considered the number one destination for golfers by many. It has 4 championship courses and can accommodate golf trips of any size.

It also provides one of the best replay rates in the world, as you will be charged almost nothing for your third playing round. If your sport begins and ends in golf, Bandon Dunes is the best place to be.

Coeur D’Alene, ID

As the only place that houses the world’s only floating movable green, Coeur D’Alene has become one of the most popular destinations for golfers. It provides the right setting for those who are traveling along with friends and family.

Apart from golf, others can enjoy other activities they have there, including water sports and boating.

The most notable gems on this trip include Rock Creek, Black Rock Golf Club, and Gozzer Ranch.

Las Vegas

While Las Vegas is known for its nightlife, it also houses some of the great places to enjoy your favorite sport. There are many places you can find options for some great desert golf in Las Vegas.

Some of the notable courses in Las Vegas include Cascata, TPC Las Vegas, Chimera Golf Club, and Wolf Creek.

When it comes to golfing options in Sin City, it is seriously wide. Whether you’re looking for a $50 golf course or can afford the $500 rated courses, you will have a lot of options here.

And if you want to take time off golf and relax during non-golfing hours, you know what to expect in the city.

Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail

If you are a regular golfer who likes playing more than 36 holes a day, the right destination for you should be Alabama. At Robert Trent Jones, you will be getting the best value for your playing time. You can take a course on the trial for as low as $60. But when you take a similar course outside Alabama, you could be paying around $200.

The place also offers some impressive package deals. Also, you have a plethora of options when choosing courses, as it has about 26 courses at 11 different locations. Before you run out of holes here, you may probably run out of time first.

However, one thing you may not like is the extremely hot weather, especially during the summer season.

Robert Trent Jones golf trail has amazing golf courses, including Ross Bridge, Capitol Hill, and Grand National Lake and Links Course.

Monterey, CA

If you would love to play golf around the sea, you will fancy visiting Monterey in California.

The golf here will always attract all manner of golfers as there are several options available. Pebble Beach, one of the most exciting places, will provide the perfect environment for you to have all the fun you want.

Also, you don’t need to move a far distance from one golf course to another because they are located in one place.

It also has one of the largest collections of golf courses, including Monterey Peninsula CC, Cypress Point, Spanish Bay, Spyglass Hill, Beyond and Black Horse, and Pacific Grove Golf Links.

The only problem is how expensive playing golf in these places can be. Pebble Beach, the most glamorous of all, is unsurprisingly costly for beginners and intermediate players. You are expected to spend not less than $500 to play there. But there are cheaper options like Pacific Groove Golf Links.

Scottsdale, AZ

Scottsdale is another option for the top golf pros looking for the perfect golf course to improve their skills.

It’s also the type of trip you and your buddies will enjoy. For example, a spring training trip offers golfers the opportunity to have fun with two different sports – Golf and baseball. So, if you’re a golfer who also loves baseball, Scottsdale will be one of the wisest choices when looking for the best golf course.

Interestingly, Scottsdale has a splendid nightlife scene you can enjoy and enjoy some parties after your fun on the field.

There are several options available to you when choosing a golf course. These include The Boulders, Ak-Chin Southern Dunes, Troon North, and TPC Scottsdale.

But remember, the weather there is not friendly during the summer as it can get extremely hot. So, you may want to visit the place at a time when the weather is favorable.

Kohler, WI

Kohler is another place that has attracted professional golfers over the years. There are black Wolf Run complexes and Whistling Straits that feature 36 holes apiece.

One of the most impressive features about this place is the plethora of options you have when choosing a golf course to play on. Presently, there are about 6 golf courses there and they are all located within a 1-hour drive.

No matter your level of experience in golf, you will find a place to enjoy your favorite sports in Kohler. However, it’s not the cheapest place to go for a beginner.

Golf courses available here include The Bull at Pinehurst Farms, Erin Hills, Blackwolf Run, and Whistling Straits.

Pinehurst, NC

This should probably be on your bucket list of golf destinations. It has nine courses and is considered one of America’s greatest golfing destinations.

Also, you will be spoiled by different options when it comes to locations and golf courses. Some great options include Pine Needles, Dormie Club, and Mid Pines.

However, the only downside when it comes to playing golf in Pinehurst is the cost. You may spend upwards of $300 to play golf in most of the locations.

Final Words

The above are some of the top destinations for beginner and experienced golfers. These are very popular places, but you probably have not been to many of them before. These destinations offer unique features usually in line with the environment they are located in.

Whether you are just trying to learn golf or looking to improve your skills, these destinations provide the best golf experiences. As a newbie, you may consider getting a golf simulator first before trying out with real on-field practice. A golf simulator can speed up your learning curves and prepare you for the lessons ahead of you during your trips.
